Day 2 – Seismic Facies and Attributes

  • Seismic facies analysis: classification and interpretation
  • Attributes for stratigraphic and lithologic analysis
  • Geometric and instantaneous attributes
  • Spectral decomposition and frequency-dependent attributes
  • Workshop: Generate and interpret facies and spectral attributes

Day 3 – Seismic Inversion and Elastic Properties

  • Principles of deterministic and stochastic inversion
  • Post-stack vs. pre-stack inversion
  • Building low-frequency models
  • Extracting elastic attributes: AI, SI, density
  • Exercise: Perform basic post-stack inversion on sample data

Day 4 – Integrating Seismic with Petrophysics and Geology

  • Well-to-seismic tie and synthetic seismograms
  • Linking seismic elastic properties with reservoir parameters (porosity, lithology)
  • Rock physics templates (RPTs) in reservoir characterization
  • Calibrating seismic response with core and log data
  • Workshop: Correlate seismic inversion results with well logs

Day 5 – Advanced Applications and Reservoir Modeling

  • AVO analysis and fluid prediction
  • Seismic geomorphology for reservoir architecture
  • Using seismic data in reservoir modeling workflows
  • Case studies of seismic-driven exploration success
  • Capstone Project: Integrate seismic, logs, and attributes to characterize a reservoir
